To date, IIP team have not seen any signs of an organized cleanup or recovery operation in the most desperate areas. In Guiuan, Samar- residents are extremely desperate. Many of them have been drinking filthy water to survive. Help is not getting to the most desperate locations.

IIP is coordinating with the Philippine Heart Center-Medical Alumni Society and Department of Health through Philippine Heart Center.

Following necessities were identified:

Antibiotics for pedia and adult patients Analgesics( pain relievers)

Paracetamol Co-trimoxazole (pedia and adult)

Doxicycline

Cefuroxime cough meds like carbocisteinsalbutamol expectorants

Oral hydration solution (eg. oresol, hydrite and pedialyte)

Skin creams eg. bactroban)

Intravenous fluids (NSS, LRS, D5water)

Intravenous cannula microset/macroset betadine/ alcohol cotton/ gauze (OS) Micropore/scissors/tourniquet hand sanitizer anti-hypertensive and anti-diabetic medicines
